Hello friends,
I have been digging deep in the hard drive archives and I came across a very intricate and detailed script I wrote a long time ago. Some of you might remember the days when the LG Server had the wall hack heli? Well this script also makes it SUPER easy to setup the LG server in 3 short console commands, the old way was like 7 or 8 long drawn out commands and was a pain in the butt. Once I found this I figured I should drop it into the Main file folder in the stock cod4 folder and give it a go and............IT WORKED!
So here is what we have now:
A COD4 game server with dual platforms both K3 and LG that can be changed by an admin in about 3 minutes from one to the other and back again.
This process will involve:
Me setting up a login for the admin on the server providers control panel.
Me teaching the admin to navigate an easy menu to then stop the server, switch "modes" from custom to stock then starting the server then logging into the server through in game console and loading the map, the settings and the map again and that's it. K3 to LG then LG to K3.
So bottom line is we have dual servers available with a little training to our admins.
I am also going to be looking for new maps because while a bunch of them have been made since I was last working on COD4 only some of them are good for low gravity.
Once I find some likely candidates you guys can help me test them on the K3 server.
The future is BRIGHT! ;-)
